Following an Undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1999, Emily has worked in multiple settings, in both the UK & Western Australia. In the UK, Emily worked for NHS Wales and Local Government Mental Health and Learning Disability services.
Since completing the Master of Psychology (Professional), at Curtin University in 2016, Emily has worked predominantly with adults who have experienced injury or trauma, this has allowed Emily to develop a trauma sensitive approach to her work. Emily has also worked with children and their families and in Aged Care facilities across WA.
Emily works collaboratively to identify goals of therapy and enjoys working with Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Solution focused brief therapy (SFBT) and Mindfulness based techniques. Ultimately Emily brings a warm and compassionate approach to the space and is deeply passionate about psychology and the power of the mind over our everyday. Emily brings awareness of systemic issues and cross-cultural differences to therapy.
